Qualifications: Valid national certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred. Minimum of 2 years recent CVOR experience in a hospital setting. Proficient in scrub and assist duties for cardiovascular operating room procedures. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Ability to quickly adapt to new team environments and technology platforms.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare cardiovascular operating rooms for procedures, ensuring necessary instruments and equipment are sterile and available. Scrub and assist in all CVOR cases, maintaining strict aseptic technique. Collaborate closely with surgeons, RNs, and anesthesia providers throughout procedures. Monitor and maintain patient safety at all times. Contribute to postoperative room turnover and instrument decontamination.
