Healthcare Staffing Coordinator

Action Health Staffing seeks a Staffing Coordinator to support healthcare and home care placements across North Carolina. In this role, you will schedule nurses, CNAs, and home health aides, matching caregiver skills and availability with client needs in hospitals, clinics, and home settings. You’ll manage shift requests, confirm assignments, maintain accurate records, and support onboarding and compliance. Coordinate staffing schedules for nurses, CNAs, and home health aides across facilities and home care cases Match caregiver skills and availability to client needs while maintaining coverage and continuity of care Communicate with clients and field staff regarding shift openings, confirmations, and changes Use scheduling and staffing software to track assignments, availability, and compliance requirements Assist with onboarding, documentation, and credential tracking for field staff Respond to urgent staffing requests and after-hours needs in a timely, professional manner Collaborate with office team to forecast staffing needs and support long-term placements Maintain accurate records and provide reports on staffing metrics and fill rates Healthcare staffing coordination Shift scheduling Staffing software/ATS use Time management Customer service Knowledge of healthcare settings Data entry and recordkeeping Communication (phone and email) Credential and compliance tracking Problem solving Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k CPR certification preferred Certified Medical Office Administration training a plus Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards
