Utah Licensed Coding Analyst

Key responsibilities: Reviewing claims to ensure accurate coding and reimbursement based on contracts and regulations Logging provider appeals and sending correspondence regarding submitted appeals Consulting with other departments and maintaining subject-matter expertise to educate providers and staff

Required qualifications: Associate degree from an accredited institution or two years of relevant work experience in coding or healthcare Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office applications Excellent written and verbal communication skills National professional coding certification (e.g., CPC or CCS) must be obtained within one year of hire (preferred) Experience with government programs such as Medicare or Medicaid (preferred)
