To support a diverse portfolio of nonprofit clients, the full-time Virginia Licensed Senior Accountant will manage month-end close processes, prepare financial statements, and interact with clients while working in a hybrid environment.
Key responsibilities: Provide outsourced accounting services, including oversight of accounts payable and receivable functions Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assist in the production and review of financial statements Interface with external auditors and communicate directly with clients regarding engagement matters
Required qualifications: 2-4 years of experience in public accounting, auditing, or nonprofit accounting roles Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or license in progress preferred Experience in the not-for-profit industry is preferred Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage Intacct and QuickBooks Strong Excel and MS Office skills
