This contract position is ideal for professionals experienced in Special Education and English as a Second Language, ready to serve students in the Cleveland, OH area across three school buildings. With a current caseload of 13 students whose home languages include Spanish, Kinyarwanda, and Swahili, you'll have a pivotal role in fostering language development and supporting academic progress.
In this role, you will:
  • Deliver both push-in and pull-out services to English language learners in three low-incidence buildings
  • Collaborate with general and special education staff to tailor instruction and accommodations
  • Monitor and review students at an additional campus with monthly check-ins and record-keeping, without direct service responsibility
  • Provide targeted instruction, adapt instructional materials, and engage students in inclusive educational experiences
  • Maintain consistent communication with parents, caregivers, and school personnel to support student growth
  • Qualifications sought:
  • Valid TESOL Certification or proof of enrollment in a TESOL Endorsement program; alternative licensure will be considered
  • Experience supporting students in Special Education and ESL/ENL settings
  • Strong organizational and communication skills for managing a multi-site caseload
  • Proficiency in a language other than English is highly desirable
  • Cultural sensitivity and adaptability in diverse classroom environments
This full-time assignment runs from ASAP through May 28, 2027, requiring a commitment of 37.5 hours per week during standard school hours, 7:30am to 3:30pm.
