Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

In this role, you'll deliver high-quality bedside care to diverse adult medical-surgical patients, including assessments, IV therapy, medication administration, and post-op management. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop care plans, document in the EHR, and promote patient safety and education. Provide comprehensive bedside care to adult medical-surgical patients, including assessments and ongoing monitoring Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments safely and accurately per provider orders and hospital protocols Develop, implement, and update individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, procedures, and discharge plans Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety, and quality standards on the MedSurg unit Communicate effectively with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care and optimize outcomes Adapt quickly to new hospital settings, workflows, and policies as a travel nurse Support a positive, respectful, and collaborative unit culture aligned with Gifted Healthcare's values Participate in shift handoffs, audits, and unit initiatives to improve patient care and experience Medical-surgical nursing xevrcyc Patient assessment IV therapy and medication administration Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation Care planning and coordination Wound care and post-operative care Telemetry monitoring basics Infection control practices Patient and family education Clinical prioritization and time management Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active RN license BLS certification ACLS preferred Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification (CMSRN) preferred Ability to work 12-hour shifts Travel nursing experience preferred
