Temporary Faculty Middle Grades and Secondary Education

Part-Time Faculty Positions The Department of Middle Grades & Secondary Education is now accepting applications for a pool of part-time faculty positions to support undergraduate Integrated Sciences courses for the 2026-2027 academic year. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Teaching undergraduate courses in ISCI 2001 Life/Earth Science or ISCI 2002 Physical Science. Applicants may be asked to teach in various modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online). Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and The Commission on Colleges and Universities (formerly SACSCOC) Faculty Credentials Guidelines. A minimum of a Master's degree in Science (Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, Geology for ISCI 2001 or Physics and/or Chemistry for ISCI 2002) or a closely related discipline with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology or Geology (ISCI 2001) or Physics and/or Chemistry (ISCI 2002) is required. A minimum of three years teaching experience in P-12 schools Classroom instruction experience in higher education Commensurate with experience. This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
