Employment Type: TravelQuick Look ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (Night Shift) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Location Philadelphia, PA Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule/Shift This position requires three 12-hour night shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30, with every other weekend required. Requests for time off up to 5 days are automatically approved; however, if the 5 days are consecutive, one week will be added to the end of the contract.

Job Description: The Emergency Department is a Level I trauma center with 51 to 60 beds, accommodating a patient population that includes infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Approximately 75% of the emergency department population is ambulatory or outpatient, while about 25% consists of inpatient boarders managed in the ED. The ED operates with a standard patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4, increasing to 1:3 for high-acuity cases and 1:2 for trauma or critical care patients. The nursing team is supported by ED technicians.

Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care to patients in a high-acuity emergency department setting. Manage trauma patients and respond to cardiac, neurologic, medical, and surgical emergencies. Administer breathing treatments, CPAP/BiPAP, and manage mechanical ventilation. Perform rapid sequence intubation (RSI) and procedural sedation. Set up and care for chest tubes and tracheostomies. Handle pediatric and NICU/PICU boarders held in the ED.Assist in managing behavioral health crises.

Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience. At least 1 full year of recent Emergency Department experience in high-acuity settings. Hands-on and independent clinical experience required; observational or orientation experience does not qualify. Certifications/Licensure Active Pennsylvania RN License. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
