Job Description Job DescriptionAbout the Role
This is a ground-floor opportunity to build the US revenue engine for a fast-growing European voice AI company focused on reducing administrative burden in healthcare. Already at $7.5M ARR and expanding aggressively into the US market, the organization needs its first true sales leader stateside: someone who will personally close mid-market healthcare groups while simultaneously building the playbook, the process, and eventually the team from scratch. There is no existing structure to inherit, and that is entirely the point.
The ideal candidate is an ex-founder or someone who has been an early employee (0 to 50) at a high-growth startup and has built a sales motion where none existed before. You thrive without a roadmap, you take ownership before anyone asks, and you have specific evidence of excellence, whether through entrepreneurial ventures, competitive athletics, or something else you built from nothing. Experience selling into multi-site healthcare provider organizations (DSOs, MSOs, radiology groups, ophthalmology chains, or similar) is a strong signal; a pure big-company background with no startup experience is not the right fit here.
Key Responsibilities:
Run full-cycle outbound sales personally, including discovery, demos, and closing, targeting mid-market healthcare groups of 20 to 200 clinics and $800K to $1M in ARR in year one
Build the US sales playbook from scratch: define the ICP, establish pipeline stages, set pricing frameworks, and enforce CRM hygiene from day one
Own go-to-market strategy end to end, testing new channels, attending industry events, and iterating quickly without waiting for direction from above
Hire, ramp, and coach a team of AEs as the role evolves from individual contributor to player-coach, growing the US team toward five reps by year-end
Feed field intelligence (objections, workflow gaps, integration needs, procurement dynamics) directly back to product and leadership to sharpen product-market fit
Navigate multi-stakeholder deals inside complex healthcare provider organizations, including compliance reviews and procurement processes
Establish forecasting discipline and pipeline visibility so leadership has a clear, reliable view of US revenue trajectory
Required Skills & Experience:
2 to 4 years of experience in a sales or founding role at an early-stage startup (0 to 50 employees), with demonstrated ownership of building a sales motion from the ground up
Full-cycle B2B SaaS closing experience; outbound-driven and comfortable generating pipeline via cold outreach, events, and partnerships rather than relying on inbound
Proven comfort with $50K to $100K ACV deals and the patience and skill required for mid-market healthcare buying cycles
Founder mindset: proactive, high-ownership, and able to operate without a predefined playbook or territory
Concrete evidence of excellence and extreme drive, through career trajectory, entrepreneurial history, competitive pursuits, or something tangible you built
Willingness to work onsite in Midtown Manhattan at least 3 days per week
Open to visa transfers (OPT, H1B transfers considered)
Preferred Skills:
Ex-founder or co-founder, or someone who led a significant 0 to 1 initiative at a startup
Experience selling into healthcare provider organizations such as DSOs, MSOs, multi-site clinic groups, radiology groups, or ophthalmology chains
Player-coach experience: has hired, ramped, and managed a small sales team of AEs or SDRs
Familiarity with healthcare compliance, security reviews, and multi-stakeholder procurement navigation
Existing network in US healthcare operations that could accelerate early pipeline
Top-tier educational background or other notable academic achievement (a strong signal, not a hard filter)
Comfort with tools such as Ashby, Attio, Apollo, Notion, and Slack
