Key responsibilities:
Champion standardization of the charge capture process and ensure discipline-specific compliance
Perform charge reconciliation activities and conduct industry best practice research
Identify and deploy charge capture improvement initiatives to enhance revenue management opportunities
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Health Information, Nursing, Imaging, Clinical Laboratory, or a related field, or equivalent experience
5 years of recent relevant experience in charge capture or related fields
California RN, RHIT, RHIA, CPC, or COC certification, depending on the service line supported
In-depth knowledge of medical billing terminology and healthcare coding systems
Ability to develop and deliver education materials specific to service lines
