Schedule: 7 on and 7 off
This position would be a blend of clinic and Inpatient Service Model. Frequency of any Call needed: One NOC weeknight call and one NOC weekend call per 7-day block. Start and End Date: 11/1/2026 - 1/1/2028 Support staff: Inpatient service model is completed with 1 physician and 3 APPs. Intensivists, RNs, and cardiac imaging technicians are also available.
Department Description: General cardiology inpatient service model with ECHO and EKG interpretation/readings. Provider will round with the APP team. Patient Volume: Inpatient volume fluctuates from approximately 7-22 patients per day. Patient Age Group: Adults onlyEMR/Documentation System: EPICSpecial Procedures/Unit Details: General/non-invasive cardiology, including chest pain/ACS, heart failure management, hypertension/dyslipidemia, atrial fibrillation/other arrhythmias, valve disease, EKG interpretation, stress testing (treadmill, nuclear, and echo), echocardiogram interpretation, and Holter/event monitor interpretation.
Requirements:
  • Provider type: MD/DOBoard Certifications Req'd: Board Certified in Cardiology required
  • Fellowship Req'd: General Cardiology; Cardiac Imaging preferred/accepted per specialty profile
  • State License(s) Req'd: Wisconsin state license
  • Certifications Req: BLS and ACLSSpecific Skills Req'd: General/non-invasive cardiology with inpatient rounding and ECHO/EKG interpretationDEA Req'd: YesMinimum Experience Req'd (# of years): 2Credentialing/Privileging Timeframe: 90 days
