Description: American Traveler is hiring an experienced Infusion RN for an outpatient oncology infusion role requiring at least 1 year of oncology experience and BLS certification. Details Outpatient infusion unit within a short-term acute care hospital Oncology patient population receiving infusion therapy Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PMNo weekend, on-call, or block scheduling requirements Epic EMR used for charting No floating between units required for this specific position, though floating between sister facilities may be expected
Requirements:
  • Active OR RN license (Compact license must be in hand at submission)BLS certification required; OCN certification preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required, with outpatient oncology experience as a hardstop requirement
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Skills include patient assessment, vital signs, medication reconciliation, triage, patient teaching, and interpretation of lab results
  • Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Additional Information:
  • Provide infusion nursing care to oncology patients in an outpatient setting
  • Responsibilities include triage, telephone follow-up, medication refill requests, patient teaching, and chart preparation
  • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Any color scrubs accepted for this unit
  • Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel employee and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
  • Candidates should not contact facility staff directly except for scheduled interviewsRTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process, as post-offer time off requests may not be granted
