Key responsibilities:
Submit compliant bills to third-party payors and calculate reimbursement for managed care claims
Proactively collect payments by contacting insurance carriers and analyzing accounts for resolution
Prepare appeals for denied claims and collaborate with various departments to resolve billing issues
Required qualifications:
Two years of recent experience in billing or collecting healthcare accounts, or four years of general collection/billing/customer service experience
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS) certification required within 18 months of hire
