Managing a portfolio of complex litigation matters, the full-time Senior Counsel - State Bar Licensed will oversee significant medical malpractice claims in the Mid-Atlantic States, providing strategic legal guidance and collaborating with operational leaders and outside counsel in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities:
Manage complex litigation matters and relationships with outside counsel to develop effective litigation strategies
Provide expert legal advice and guidance on high-risk cases, ensuring compliance with legal obligations and settlement agreements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify operational improvements and mitigate future legal risks
Required qualifications:
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a practicing lawyer
At least five (5) years of experience in litigation, including trial and arbitration
Juris Doctorate (JD) or equivalent legal degree
Active State Bar License from any state where the organization operates
Experience managing attorneys and legal professionals in complex litigation matters
